Lowe Boats’ Innovative New Deluxe Vinyl
Lowe Boats is the first to market with a distinctly “pontoon-like vinyl” in a fish boat – providing users with a more comfortable material underfoot, with no sacrifices made in terms of quality, durability or design. The pattern on this product provides a great consistency no matter the angle of placement, meaning the vinyl matches even when prepped in separate areas of the manufacturing plant. For example, when a storage door lid meets up with the floor, the pattern shows a continuous flow throughout the deck.
Typically, pontoon vinyl has a very thick backing that fish boat OEMs can’t use because the material is limited in its ability to bend around corners, hatches, doors, and decks. Lowe worked closely with the vendor who produces flooring for its Infinity series pontoons, with the goal of developing a thinner-backed vinyl that still delivered the desired premium-vinyl effect.
The result is a system featuring a thin-backed vinyl that can be applied smoothly and successfully to fish boat models, as well as pontoons, while also delivering a pleasant underfoot effect. Standard types of vinyl used by other manufacturers tend to be hard and unforgiving; Lowe boats’ new pontoon-like vinyl feels more comfortable and looks more stylish while retaining the rugged durability that fish boat activities demand.
