Steve Shelton

Steve’s dad taught him how to hunt and fish at a very early age. His dad was with him when he took his first buck, shot his first game bird, and caught his first fish. Steve’s dad has since passed, but Steve will always carry fond memories of his dad every time he steps in the woods or grabs his fishing pole.

Steve recently retired from a 30+ year long career as an engineer in the aerospace industry and now spends his days (and nights) hunting and fishing for Walleye, Trout, Elk, Deer, Pheasant, Duck, Goose, Turkey, & Dove. Whether it's with a rod and reel, rifle or shotgun, or bow and arrow; Steve pursues it with passion. Family is, and always will be, top priority to Steve. He currently lives in Northern Colorado with his wife, Deb. Between them, they have 6 children and 3 beautiful grandchildren.

Over the last 40 years, Steve has had the good fortune of spending many of his days and nights in the great outdoors in almost every state West of the Mississippi river. Recently, Steve has focused his time on Walleye tournament fishing. In addition to being a member of the LOWE boat's Pro Staff team, Steve is also sponsored by Cabela's, Mercury Marine, Aqua-Vu, and Salmo Lures. Steve proudly competes in fishing tournaments from his 2014 black LOWE FM185 fishing boat. Steve is an active member of the Colorado Walleye Association (CWA) and currently serves on the board as their Promotions Director. Above all, Steve enjoys sharing his hunting and fishing skills with others (especially kids and veterans).!

Steve’s primary goal is to inspire others with the courage and confidence to go create “their next adventure” –

"Live it, don’t watch it or dream about it! Make the time now to go experience nature and all she has to offer first hand."

It's Not All About Fishing:

“We both have families with kids, so it’s really nice to be able to convert the FM into a ski boat,” Steve says. “The aft deck that converts from a fishing platform into seating is really versatile. We’ll take the kids out tubing and have a great time.
