In 1975, Lowe Line built its first dedicated bass boats; the 15' Stinger and 16' SS Hustler. Featuring innovations such as adjustable chairs and raised casting decks.
Pontoons had been gaining popularity throughout the early 70's. In 1979, Lowe brought forth their vision of a more feature-rich, easier to use pontoon boat. With the growing success of their pontoon line, Lowe Line changed the company's name to Lowe in 1981.
In 1982, Lowe produced its first Deep-V, the Lunker III 16'.
Lowe continued developing a reputation for building high quality, yet affordable aluminum boats and pontoons to suit almost any need. In 1988 Lowe was purchased by the OMC corporation.
In 1992 Lowe introduced the first aluminum deck boat, the Lowe 2200 QR Silhouette.
In 1994, with the help of professional river guides, commercial users, boat dealers, and industry leading engineers, Lowe introduces the world to the now legendary, heavy-duty Roughneck line-up.
In 1999, Lowe integrated its Roughneck, Sea Nymph and Suncruiser lines under the Lowe brand. This consolidation strengthened Lowe's equity and led to Genmar Holdings' purchase of Lowe in 2001.
In 2004 Brunswick Corporation, a Fortune 1000 company, acquired Lowe Boats. Brunswick Boat Group is the world's leading manufacturer of pleasure boats.
After over 50 years of boat building, the Lowe legacy pushes forward with continual strides in innovation and quality for a new generation of boaters and sport enthusiasts!
