Who is this boat designed for?
The Stinger 8 Series is intended for anglers at all levels, but should specifically appeal to the “weekend warrior” angler that competes in amateur tournaments and just loves to fish.
What sets the Stinger 8 Series hull apart from other aluminum boats?
The extended pad. This is a flat section at the center of the stern that you don’t often see in aluminum boats. It allows the boat to get on plane quicker, ride higher, and go faster. It performs really well with the higher-horsepower outboards that this boat is designed to handle.
How has the bow deck been laid out to maximize angling success?
We’ve made it as large as possible by extending the beam width of the boat up the bow. You can do this in an aluminum boat because the material is lightweight. Fiberglass boats have to be narrower at the bow so the heavier structure won’t plow the water. It’s a massive deck—nearly six feet wide—with plenty of room to move around. There’s also loads of storage, including organizers for 12 rods and huge compartments for tackle and gear.
What are the advantages of an aluminum bass boat compared to fiberglass?
Lighter weight for faster planing and easier towing and storage, plus added durability. You can take an aluminum boat places you wouldn’t dream of taking a glass boat—up rocky rivers, back into shallow coves, over sandbars, etcetera.
How does the Stinger 8 perform with higher-powered outboards?
We’ve designed the transom with all-welded aluminum box-beams and strong knee braces that are united to the stringer structure. With the wider beam and pad hull, it takes aluminum boat performance to the next level with power up to 150 horses on the 198 models.
Is there something about the boat that can’t be seen that you’d like to point out?
Yes. The Cross-Lock Stringer system—a structure similar to a floor joist system in home construction—has been bulked up for more strength and rigidity. This structure below the deck provides a more solid feel underfoot, and the boat gets better performance because it flexes less. It also makes the boat even more durable.
With innovative design and fishing-focused features, the new Stinger 8 Series will make your angling adventures more successful than ever, whether you chase the top of the leaderboard in weekend tournaments or just fish for fun with friends and family.
